Ghanaian native Bernard Ayisa started his musical journey in ZIMBABWE ( prince Edward school). After high school he was accepted at the university of natal ( Durban. South Africa) where he studied with Dustan Cox ( Mauriat artist ) and PROF. Darius Brubeck.
In 1998 Bernard was chosen to play in a student / staff band that Brubeck took to the international association of Jazz educator in New York and Germany. He was also a member of the South African National Youth Bigband which toured the United States under the directorship of professor mike Campbell.
After Graduating, he moved to Johannesburg where he performed with Andile Yenan, Feya Faku and recorded with Ernie Smith.
As a touring artist Bernard has performed in Dubai, Abudhabi, Scotland, Romania, Germany, Malaysia, Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan.
Bernard spends most of his time touring with renowned Iraqi Musician al madfai in the middle east and teaching privately. He just completed a three month residency at Qatar’s first and only Jaz club.
